Iker Casillas, educated at the training center of Real Madrid, is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world due to his performances for the national team and his club.

Casillas was the captain of the Spanish team that won their first European Championship for 44 years in 2008 and their first World Cup in 2010.

With his club, Casillas has won the Champions League three times (1999-00,2001-02 and 2013-14) and La Liga five times (2000–01, 2002–03, 2006–07, 2007–08 and 2011–12).

Casillas has broken the records for the most games played by a goalkeeper for both Real Madrid and the Spanish national team.

Iker Casillas is also the first European player to lift as captain three international trophies in four years.
